HOW YOU CAN HELP
The "Pablo Requena Foundation" will support the "Entre Amigos" project for people with HIV in Alta Verapaz to help sustain a good quality of life.
It can help in three ways:
ACCESS TO CARE
Provide an economic contribution to men, women, girls and boys so that they can travel from their hometown to the Hospicio San José in Sacatepequez (which is up to 15 hours away) to receive the comprehensive care required.
Cost of a roundtrip per person is approximately 48 CHF.
ACCESS TO MEDICINE
Provide an economic contribution for control tests and the purchase of good quality medicine to protect against and treat other opportunistic diseases which can have an impact on the effects of the antiretroviral treatment.
Cost of medicine against opportunistic diseases per person is approximately 44CHF.
ACCESS TO NUTRITION
Provide food supplies to each person and family to help maintain a healthy immune system, slow the progression of HIV and avoid getting sick.
The cost of one bag of food containing basic nutritional supplies for each family affected is approximately 33 CHF.
