How your money has helped

Thanks to your incredible support and generous donations to the foundation we are able to help over 600 people. The following activities are currently being activated.

1. ACCESS TO NUTRITION:

Bags of food to provide access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food for people with HIV and their families.


With your donations so far we are helping 100 families (approx 6 people per family) who will be provided with a food bag.


Each bag of food contains :

rice —> 5 pounds (= 2,3 kg)

incaparina —> 6 pounds (= 2,7 kg) 

sugar —> 25 pounds (= 11,3 kg)

pasta —> 5 pounds (= 2,3 kg)

oil —> 1 gallon (= 4,5 l)

salt —> 2 pounds (= 0,9 kg)

beans —> 5 pounds (=2,3 kg)

corn —> 25lbs (= 11,3 kg)

oatmeal —> 5 pounds ( = 2,3 kg)

FOR CHRISTMAS

Christmas baskets that include food and toys will be given to families, to minimize the situation of poverty they live in and encourage them in their daily struggle of living with HIV.  Each basket costs 42chf.

With your donations so far we are providing 20 baskets to families.

FOR NEWBORNS:

Newborns with HIV will be provided with powdered milk, incaparina and diapers in order to ensure their nutrition and reduce their vulnerability to opportunistic diseases.  Each newborn pack costs 36chf

With your donations so far we are helping 40 newborns.

2. ACCESS TO MEDICINE :

Support will be provided for diagnostic tests and medication to treat opportunistic diseases. 

With your donations so far we are helping 35 people access the medicine they need.

3. ACCESS TO CARE:

Support will be given to provide access to vital antiretroviral therapy.

This includes transportation from the housing community in Alta Verapaz to Hospicio San José in Santa Lucía Milpas Altas, Sacatepéquez. 

With your donations so far we are helping 40 people to access the care they need.
